Portishead - le retour

La nouvelle, c’est que quelques mois après leur premier retour, le groupe de Bristol signe pour trois nouvelles dates au “All tomorrow’s Parties Night

Portishead have announced plans for their first official performance in ten years.
They’ll be curating the All Tomorrow’s Parties Night Before Christmas in Minehead on December 7th through 9th.
The band has already returned to the stage this year in a surprise acoustic show in Bristol this February, but Parties will be their first with full accompaniment.
“We’ve chosen a diverse collection of artists to play with us and we’re looking forward to it,” writes the group on their MySpace page.
Portishead are still working on the follow-up to their eponymous 1997 album.

It’s been over ten long years, but trip-hop legends Portishead are nearly finished their near-mythical third album. Via a post on the band’s website, Geoff Barrow revealed that the recording process will be complete within a day and then the mastering process will begin. The band will preview some new material when they curate their own personal All Tomorrow’s Parties festival in December.

certes! En ce qui me concerne j’ai toujours préféré un groupe qui sort un album culte tous les 5 ans (tool…) que ceux qui privilégient la quantité et se forcent à sortir un disque tous les deux ans pour rester dans les charts… Mais là c’est vrai que ça commence à faire long! Et j’ai peur qu’a trop espérer on soit un peu déçus.
Sinon qui était au thétre antique de Vienne en 1998? Pfff… c’etait énorme…

ah oui au fait. L’album s’intitulera apparemment “Aural Velvet”.
